Semester is Over...here comes Santa Claus!

Hello World,
Am back to let you know that my fall semester is over and I did good. I got an A in my End-Using computing class, " to me a fancy way to say Business computer class" and I got a B+ in my Feminist Theory class. The grade in the feminist theory class really surprised me because I was really struggling with that class. The readings were hard for me, but when I went to class, I understood it so much better when the teacher explained it.  Am just glad I did good, it helped my GPA go up! Now, it's Christmas Eve and time to enjoy my family and friends and to be thankful for all the wonderful things in my life.

Going to Spain!

*Jumps up and down with excitement* Guess what? I got accepted to partake in the Study Aboard program to Spain! Yay!!! Am so excited and I get to share this wonderful experience with my best friend, Julia! This is the best Christmas gift ever! Let our Spain adventures begin!

Ice Skating for the First time!!

Hello World,

Today was an awesome day! My niece and I went ice skating. It was the first time for me. It was so fun, even though I was very cautious it reminded me of roller blading. It was lightly snowing today and the rink was playing Christmas music, it was really putting me in the holiday spirit. The rink has a huge Christmas tree next to it, that is beautiful. I am also, proud to say I only fall down once! :-D It was a busy day for us... After we went ice skating we had lunch and then went to visit Santa. She told him she wanted a dog for Christmas, I can't help her there that will have to be something for her parents to get her! She is a very bright light in my life, the only wish I have for Santa is that I get to spend more time with her. I know though that is something I have to do and not Santa!

Struggles

Hi World,

It's little ole' Kelly again... Am sitting here at the library trying to write a paper for my final in my feminist theory class. I am having a hard time writing it. I honestly don't know why, because my teacher give us all the information we needed to write it. It's like I sit down and I can't seem to make sense of what I want to say and I start to feel over-whelmed and then I start to get down on myself. Like I should know what am doing and have it done already. However, i can't seem to pull it out of me.  If you have any ideas or suggests for me. I would welcome them in a heartbeat. Off i go to try and write this paper again, you may see me in a little bit.

Cute Customers

Hi World,
It's me again... So, I wanted to tell you about my day today. As you all have guessed by now, I work full time in retail. I had this elderly lady looking around in our store today. I asked her if she needed some help and she was like, "Yes...I am looking for some blush that's not to light and not to dark." Well, I took her over to the Revlon make-up which is on sale, and she said ,"I can't wear this powder stuff because it doesn't go right on my old face, I need to use the cream like type of blush." Just hearing her say old face, made me smile and I was like, aww. The way she said it was so serious though. It was so cute. Then she asked where our old manager was and I told her she wasn't no longer at our store and she was like, I really liked her. She was soooo nice. After saying that she went on to ask me if i was going to take the store over and I told her no, that they had picked another lady too. She was like "Pfft".
I find people to be so funny. I know that people get set in their ways and they have a hard time with change. I, being one of them myself. I have learned that change can be a good thing, even when at first it may be hard to accept or even let happen.  Change helps us grow and growing helps us learn lessons though this journey we call life.
